After trying several different front covers with my pictures I have decided that the background isn't right and as my model is sat down in the photograph, I have decided to re-take my photos. As my model has gone back to the UK I have found another girl [Niamh] to be my model and I have several new ideas for the next shoot.
I love this photo. Everything about it works so well to complement each other. The hairstyle is braided and back off the model's face which accentuates her pale skin and the angles of her face. The dark eye makeup is bold and reflects the rebellious character that I am aiming for. The red lipstick is ombre which looks very effective and compliments the eye makeup also reinforcing the rebellious stereotype. This stereotype is also shown by her costume that denotes a denim jacket with rips and safety pins, and a mix of ear cuffs, rings and studs along with an eyebrow piercing, all of these together work to create this edgy, sharp and intense photograph.

This is a really strong photo because the hairstyle is so different and unique and the model's blond hair contrasts the pink eye-shadow which makes the model's eyes stand out. Her makeup is not as bold as the other's but the pink smudge over her eyelid is very effective and stands out from the rest of her hair and skin. I really like the effectiveness of her top and the simple straps that draws the attention towards the unique hairstyle that gives this image so much more impact. Her facial expressions are serious and took patronising looking just over the camera.

These are some of the photos from my latest shoot. My plan was to get the rebellious look using denim rather than leather and by braiding my models hair rather than making it big and gelled up. I really like these photos however, I'm not sure I like the look of the feather earrings as they are primary colours that make her look younger. I really like the boots and think that they work really well with the ripped jeans and denim jacket. After putting some mock ups of the cover with these photos and decided that the previous cover was better and looked more appealing to my target audience when I presented some people with the two they all said that they would most likely pick up the first cover that I had done. So I have decided to stick with my first idea as it is much stronger.
